Mt Gravatt District Rep Sport Opportunities 2024 information

School sport involves students from Years 4 - 6 and is held on Friday afternoons.  Inter-school sport is held twice a year in ten week blocks.  Sport offered includes netball, touch football  and soccer.    Students not playing interschool sports will be involved in supervised games at school.  Students travelling to sporting venues are required to pay for bus fees.

During the year, students are also involved in Cross Country, Senior Track and Field Carnival, Junior Athletics/Station Rotation, and Senior and Junior Swimming Carnivals.

House Teams

There are three house teams in our school, each named after early settlers in our community as outlined on our school history.  Every child is placed into a house and siblings belong to the same house.

  • GIBSON (yellow)
  • HOLLAND (red)
  • TOOHEY (blue)

Students compete in cross country, track and field and swimming events for house points to earn perpetual trophies.  Children are encouraged to wear a house colour polo shirt for all sporting events (and on Monday for parade) and a bathing cap in their house colour for the swimming carnival.  These are standard uniform items and are available from the P&C uniform shop.
