iLearn Program

​​Marshall Road State School promotes a teaching and learning culture that prioritises and supports curriculum delivery to meet the needs of every student. Our vision is to ensure students access teaching and learning through a variety of modes including digital learning to support and enhance teaching practice and learning rigour.

Our iLearn program supports and enables our vision by inviting students in Years 4 – 6 to bring their own iPad to school to support and extend their learning.

  • Stores relevant learning episodes on personal devices for easy recall and access throughout the year
  • Enables the demands of the Australian Curriculum's general capabilities (literacy, numeracy, information and communication (ICT) capability , critical and creative thinking, ethical understanding, personal and social capability, and intercultural understanding) to be taught flexibly and seamlessly across the learning areas
  • Provides opportunities for students to develop the five elements of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) capability, including investigating with ICT, creating with ICT, communicating with ICT, managing and operating with ICT, and applying social and ethical protocols and practices when using ICT
  • Best facilitates the development of digital reading skills, digital writing skills, typing skills, and online navigation skills to support student readiness for NAPLAN Online
