Our Program
We run an emergent curriculum which is focused on play-based learning.  We encourage and support children's natural curiosity and desires to engage in experiences centred around their interests, strengths and developing life skills as they make sense of the world around them.  We want children to have a say in how they spend their time with us.

From the Indoors:  we offer the Kidszone Room (main room), the Construction Room and the Arcade Room.  We also have access to the school PAC.  Each room offers the children a unique experience.

To the Outdoors: the children have lots of space to run.  We have three playgrounds (two junior and one senior), a soccer oval, tennis court and an even bigger main oval and the ELA – Loose Parts space.

"Play and leisure activities provide opportunities for children to learn as they discover, create, improvise and imagine" (My Time Our Place)

Our Philosophy

At Kidszone, we believe that it is essential to provide the children in our care with an environment that is welcoming, safe, caring, and supportive.  Our environment caters for all children in our care, treating each child holistically by respecting their cultural background, beliefs, and family customs.  We believe that children have the right to give their opinion in matters that affect them and that their opinion should be heard and taken seriously (adapted from UN Convention of the Rights of Child Article 12).

Our program aims to promote life skills through effective communication methods and learning through play and investigation.  We encourage the children to make healthy choices which assists them to become confident in their social and emotional wellbeing, fostering empathy and understanding towards others.  We are committed to providing ongoing learning opportunities for children to reach their full potential both now and in the future. We aim to achieve this through continual reflective practices and evaluations of our service curriculum by our qualified and committed educators, who embrace our learning framework.

We believe that open communication and respectful relationships with management, families and children enables us to collaborate with Kidszone stakeholders to provide a program that encompasses the needs, abilities, and interests of the children in our care.
