Parents and families are encouraged to be active in the life of the school. There are various ways you can help out.

  • Parents and Citizens Association - Join the P&C and get involved.

  • Volunteer Policy 2023 (PDF, 200KB)

  • Working bees – We conduct working bees around the school and in the Environmental Learning Area regularly and welcome assistance from families.

  • Environmental Learning Area - Families of the school are invited to put their names on a roster at the office for care of the chickens on weekends and school holidays

  • Camps and excursions - Supervisors are often required on camps and parents are often needed to assist with excursions. Requests are usually sent out to the families of children attending these.

  • Fundraisers and events - Our Parent Liaison Officer is the main contact for parents wishing to participate in social functions with other parents.  Parents of particular year levels are asked to assist with particular school events such as Tea and Tissues morning tea for new prep parents, BBQs, Year 6 Graduation.

  • Fete – The Fete Sub-committee is preparing for the 2022 fete and would welcome any assistance to run a stall, help seek donations or sponsorships and/or help out on the day.

  • Biennial Science Fair judging – Parents, carers, grandparents or members of the community working in scientific areas are required every two years (odd year) to assist with judging the large number of entries received.

  • Tuckshop – assistance required on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays – help is often required on the day or to bake items to sell.

  • The Parent Liaison Officer is on hand to facilitate parent involvement.

Opportunities that arise throughout the year may be advertised via our newsletter.

Please enquire at the school office if you require further information on volunteering in general.

If you are not a parent of a child within the school, you may be required to hold a Blue Card to volunteer.
