Clubs and societies

​​​Marshall Road runs a number of ‘clubs’ for students during the week, mostly, operating outside school hours.  

The purpose of these clubs is to provide students with activities to extend their interests and abilities in some areas. 

Eco Marines

Tangalooma EcoiMarines is a program, which focuses on the environmental and cultural significance of our local environment.

Tangalooma EcoMarines Ambassadors are student leaders, who strive to protect our environment and waterways to ensure a safe and hopeful future for everyone.

EcoMarines is all about Kids teaching Kids!  Together, we will make a difference!


Student planting plantSustainability Rangers (formerly Garden club)

Any student may join and become a Sustainability Ranger.  Sustainability Rangers will be rostered on to attend at least one lunchbreak duty every week.  Duties will include management of recycling, animal pen cleaning, gardening, plant propagation, composting, worm farming and mulching. Year 6 Sustainability Leaders, once elected, will assist in the leadership of this group.  A weekly commitment is required of students .  To participate each student must bring their own pair of gardening gloves. 

Junior Engineers

Junior Engineers is an after school coding and robotics  club.  It is held on Thursday afternoons for students in years 2 to 6,  between 3.05pm and 4.15pm in the Computer Lab in A Block.

Speech and Drama Club

Speech and Drama Club, Lets Talk Kids, meets every Friday morning between 7.30am and 8.30am in the Performing Arts Centre.  Prep and Year 1 students will be walked back to class at conclusion of session. For more information contact www.ltkspeechanddrama.com.au or call 38215755.

Chess Club

Chess Mates is held for interested students in any age group in the Library on Monday afternoons between 3.00pm and 4.00pm.   Queries for this club can be directed to info@chessmates.com.au or call 1300 Chess Mates.

Swimming club

Marshall Road Marlins swimming club operates Tuesday night every week from 6.00pm – 8.00pm in terms 1 and 4.  Families are welcome to attend.

Learn-to-swim and stroke-correction classes and squad training are held Monday - Friday in the swimming season.

Hot Shots Tennis Club

Sessions before school on Tuesday and Thursday on the school tennis court.  Enrol online at www.tennisforkids.com.au.  Private and semi private lessons are available on request.  Any queries please contact Tennis for Kids on info@tennisforkids.com.au or phone 0408 187 741.

Ju Jitsu Kid

Children's self defence classes at school in the Performing Arts Centre on Friday afternoons between 3:10pm to 4:10pm for Beginners. Please phone 0431 442 025 or contact info@bmaa.biz for more information.  Website: www.bmaa.biz.   Limited space is available.​
