Grandparents Day 2026

Please find attached the Grandparents Day flyer for this year.

•  Friday 9th October- 9:15am-10:30am (Week 1, Term 4)​
• The theme will be ‘Threads Through Time’ and will focus on connecting generations through stories and our grandparents’ connection to Marshall Road. ​
• We hope to create a ‘story quilt’ (physically and metaphorically) from the day where each person's story is a thread woven into the fabric of the school community. This ‘quilt’ will then be put on display in the PAC for our community to see  at the Country Carnival. ​
• We will send an RSVP link out to families on forms, so that we can let you know if there are any mobility considerations in your class- if so, you may wish to move outside to a different zone for the morning. ​
• We will open the MMO for additional parking for those grandparents who won’t have any issues walking up the hill. ​
• Morning tea will be stationed around the grounds so that the line ups aren’t as long- these stations are also where we can gather grandparents ‘stories’ or connections to Marshall Road SS. ​
• Parents, please do not worry if grandparents can’t make it on that morning, the activities are designed for all students to join in and not miss out.​
